Guide To Your First Meeting with a Lawyer

Waiting in the office for your first meeting with a lawyer, you find your leg shaking and your palms sweaty with multiple thoughts running through your mind. You probably have been dealing with an issue; and you really don’t want to deal with it anymore. But don’t worry Lawyers are here to help! Don’t know what to expect? Here are some ideas that can help you prepare for your meeting it will be no sweat.

What to bring:

  • 1) Documents- Documents such as doctor bills, photos from incidents, and police reports. Not sure if you need a certain document? Place it in your folder anyway; it will probably be useful eventually.
  • 2) Knowledge- Remember any special instances or events, and write them down so you won’t forget. Remember any people or quotes, and write them down so you won’t forget. Bring a notepad to the meeting so you can write things down so you won’t forget. See the pattern? It is easy to get off track or forget some important information you might have. As lawyers, we know you have questions, but we have lots of questions for you as well!
